Playgrounds

We recognize the importance of outdoor play in the development of the whole child. The outdoors is an extension of the classroom. Our playgrounds are outfitted with age-appropriate equipment designed for active play and exploration. Playground activities provide your child with the opportunity for physical and social development as well as additional learning activities.

Playground safety is a priority at the Crouthers Academy. There are separate playgrounds for infant/toddlers and preschool age children. The playground equipment meets IPEMA certification standards for safety. The Crouthers Academy employs the National Program for Playground Safety (NPPS) model for teachers and children. The S.A.F.E. model promotes playground safety through proper supervision, age-appropriate design, fall surface, and equipment maintenance.
